AAC/ATDS file type?

  • Subject: AAC/ATDS file type?

Hi, does anyone know what is the standard four-character file type
for AAC/ADTS files so that QuickTime Player recognises it? If I create
such a file with a .aac extension and a 'TVOD' creator code, QuickTime
player is launched upon double-clicking and happily plays the file.
However, if I use another creator code or try to drag-and-drop the file
into the QTP icon, QTP refuses to open it.

So the question is: what file type code (or what name extension if .aac is
not correct) should I use so that I can use my applications creator code
and nevertheless open the file with QTP? Thanks,

Martin
