You're not failing - you just stepped on a topic that has a long history of heated discussion on this list, which

As you said, removing the channel count dialog from the UI and instead publishing the proper I/O capabilities
according to what your plug-in can handle is the perfect solution.


My comment about a version number of zero was intended for debugging/development exclusively, it's not
to be used for customer shipping or even beta versions. Sorry if this caused confusion.
