Hi
Me, too. But I think that answer is a qualified "no". The
difficulties are that Java requires a Java Virtual Machine to run,
and the Java/Core Audio libraries that Apple once supplied are no
longer being supported. You could probably do something with the JNI
and I've been experimenting along these lines, but it would not be
particularly simple and I doubt it would be elegant.
I could definitely find a use for a Java -> Native code translater
(provided it incorporated an automatic garbage collector) and if such
a beast existed then one might be able to use it for audio units.
But failing that all we can do is grit our teeth, wipe the dust off
the * key on the keyboard, and use C++. It's a terrible culture
shock after the beauty and simplicity of Java.

I asked about this a year or so again. The response seemed to be
"why would you want to". I certainly would want to, and NOT want
to rewrite a very sophisticated and successful declicker in another
language, so opening up a second front for debugging very complex
mathematical programming. If you have to do that, VST would look
attractive, being cross platform, despite any other drawbacks.
