Loop marker name umlaut question

Hi all,

I have successfully integrated writing loop markers to sound files
using Doug's suggestion of mixing the ExtAudioFile and AudioFile APIs
but I am encountering a little problem with German umlaut characters
(you know, the funny ä, ö ü characters, vowels with two dots over
them). I am setting the marker name using CFSTR("marker name") for
now, but the umlaut characters get converted like this in QuickTime
and any other application that can display marker names:

"Dies ist ein längerer hübscher schöner Markername" ->
"Dies ist ein längerer hübscher schöner Markername"

What can I do so the names are displayed as they should?

Thanks,
Tahome
