Sorry, my last email was bounced (I guess my apple account isn't allowed to post to this list).

The answer I got from the LaunchServices guru was:

"LaunchServices is known to assign you the microsoft icon when your bundle's pkginfo specifies the file type as 'BNDL'. A workaround for now would be for developers to not set the type or creator of their bundle in the pkginfo file."

I'm looking into solutions on our end, but for now you can drop the type / creator and you'll get a blank cube.

I think if you look at the green logo on the cube as a larger picture you will see that it is the "e" from Microsoft's Excel - for some reason their install takes over some .component bundles so gets to put its own icon on it (I don't know why/how)

Hi

Sorry if this is a rather n00b question, but the icon that goes into the example SinSynth.component is just a blank cube. Whereas the other examples. and those made with the Xcode project wizard, have the green logo on the side of the cube. I'm wondering how do I get this green icon on to the SinSynth example, from which I've based my AU?? I've looked at the plist's and project files and can't see a difference....

cheers
