Ok.

I finally figured I had 64bit set (x86_64), assuming leopard is all 64bit. But it isn't it just supports 64bit, but doesn't use it in AUs. Which I suppose is two avoid deprecating lots of installed AUs.

These are the settings I needed "i386 ppc ppc7400 ppc970" just to get it to
work everywhere. Takes ages to compile too... With Xcode 2 I only needed the
first two.

ok, I finally got it. I think I had the wrong architecture setting. the
cocoa ui kinda works also (another problem, in another post, but I have
an older project with an intact view). It shows up in logic, but not au
lab. also only shows once though.

If you're starting off a Cocoa template this won't work. The Cocoa UI
AU template is messed up - could this be your problem?

Well, you never know, it's a big mystery at this point :). So what do
you mean actually? The -arch setting is at i686, i.e. 32bit. I also
tried building 64 bit to no avail.

I remember i had to fiddle with the architecture settings before
auval would recognise my plugin on leopard. might be nothing to do
with your problem though.

Hi,

I just kicked up a new audiounit but I can't get it noticed by even
auval. I Made one recently and that works fine and I can't find the
culprit. I checked all the obvious things like bundle names, entry
point etc. The only thing I can think of is this: the
AUInstrumentBase subclass that is the entry point is defined inside
an objc++ file since I use some cocoa magic inside. Could that be a
problem? Otherwise: is there a definite checklist of what an au
component needs to have to be picked up, and/or a definite way to
test this?

Help greatly appreciated :)
