I'm trying to initialise an IOAudioStream to have 64 channels. I find
I can add formats up to 32 channels, but when I increase the number
above 32 channels, I am given 2,4,8,16 and 32 channel formats by
default - with sample rates 44.1,48k,88.2,96k, 176.2 and 192k -
regardless of the number of channels in the format and regardless of
the sample rate settings too.
Is there a problem having a single stream with this many formats?
"setFormat" is not returning an error and I can't see why it would be
behaving in this way.
