Hi,

Dan or Stephane:
Would it be possible to provide a "hook" in the Audio/Midi setup tool, and especially in the audio section to add some more UI elements?

And Jeff Moore told us:
That hook is kAudioDevicePropertyConfigurationApplication. AMS will show a button to launch the indicated app if this property is set.
Beyond that, the request to make the UI pluggable has been noted.

I have personally no objection about an included audio router.
I'd prefer "Audio MDI Setup" pluggable by 3rd parties components (such Jack): it would be terrific for advanced users!

What could be a brand new killer feature of Mac OS X is an internal pipe like the MIDI "IAC Driver" but for audio: useful for anyone, for beginners too.
(I can't work without Soundflower.)

Warmest regards,
P.Gruchet
