provide a counter-example (a profile for a machine that exhibits
the freeze without any of the above software installed). While I
wait to see if anyone responds, do those applications provide any
hints as to what may be causing this issue?
Update:
A user tested this last night by doing a clean install on a Mac
Mini. With the fresh install, the freeze did not appear.
Then he installed Soundtrack only from the Final Cut Studio 5.1
install, and the freeze appeared.
