K and M variables

Hello al.

A quick question i have been reading through the Audio Unit AIP and tutorial and have found that lots of variables begin the letter k or m. Is there any significance to this? I.e. does it affect the operation of the variable? or is it just a tradition thing? As i haven't found any reference to any significance in the documentation.

I ask, as i know that CSound (that i used many years ago) did put a significance on variables beginning with k although i can't remember what it was now.

Many Thanks

Russell Edwards
