Anybody have an idea how to specify in-between pitches with MusicDeviceMIDIEvent?

MIDI Pitch bend message.

Please, I am not a MIDI/audio expert. I need more detail. Are you saying that I should first send the play command with the standard pitch (e.g. 60), and then follow this with a pitch bend message? Or should I send the pitch bend message first, followed by the play command? Or something else entirely?

Either should work but may produce different results. If you want a precise pitch then send the pitch bend message first followed by a note-on. It gets even more complicated as you probably will need to send controller data to set the pitch bend amount.
