I'm trying to be forward-thinking here. I can't spend too much time
reinventing the wheel with the price of iPhone apps being so low, so
I'm trying to put a solid foundation into place. It's voice today and
synthesized instruments tomorrow.
Also, CoreAudio in this case can give me either 16-bit samples or
8.24, that's it.
