I am so glad someone else has encountered this problem. I reported it to
this list about a year ago and was told it was all in my imagination.
How long does it take to get something like this fixed? Having the
search facility work again would be a huge improvement for us newbies.
Thanks, Jens.

I just tried searching the list archives for posts about MP3 encoding,

Searching for 'iPhone' returns only /one/ hit, so something's seriously
wrong :)

This appears to apply to all lists, not just CA-API. Could someone at
Apple please pass this along to the list administrators?

PS: You can work around this by using Google and restricting the domain
to the CA-API archives. For example, in the Google search box type:
mp3 encoder site:http://lists.apple.com/archives/Coreaudio-api
