DLS Synth - GM 1 or GM 2?

Hi List,

Before I spend too much more time trying to get the GM Ukelele patch on
bank 1 working, does the DLS synth even support the extra sounds in
the GM 2 sound set?

While I am at it, is there any documentation on Apple's implementation
of this thing? I have looked around and have yet to find any details...
