The synth comes with a sound bank from Roland which is a GS bank.
The "engine" - that is the DLS synth AU itself - will read DLS, Level
2 revision, and SoundFont, current revision (2.0) sound banks.
So, the synth engine itself is GS compatible, which is very close to
what GM2 is, but we don't currently support the GM2 additions that are
added on to the GS specification - we are looking at this.
