The AudioFile read and write API's are threadsafe, in that you specify the file offset in each call, so there is at least hope. I guess you will need to give your code a bit of a hammering to be sure. Perhaps you could post back here whether it all works. I for one would like to know.
Yeah it does look positive. I will give confirmation one way or the other as soon as I know. It seems like such a common thing to want to do, maybe I'll help the next guy with the same problem.
