Hi Gordon,
Unfortunately I won't be able to lay my hands on the Camera kit for at least a couple weeks still, so I can't try myself atm.
I think the reason for rejection of 24/96 device is the 24 bit part, rather than higher samplerates listed along the supported ones. Could you try to put together a descriptors with two alternate settings - 16b and 24b - and see if it enumerates? And also try presenting them in both possible orders like alt 1 - 16b, alt 2 - 24b v. alt 1 - 24b, alt 2 - 16b?
And in the unlikely case where the enumeration would fail just based on the fact that 88.2/96 are listed, naturally try the 16b alt setting only listing 32/44.1/48k.
Sounds like your Brick thing is 44.1 only, right? In that case it's refreshing to see that there are no mandatory samplerates as in lingo 10. Try playing some 32/48k stuff on it - will it resample on-the-fly? How about the battery life?
Anyway, great news about async sink being supported, now up with the samplerate and bitrate before it's officially released!
