it was an option i considered for Ardour/Mixbus, but it seemed unacceptable. Even just considering a couple of my favorite plugins (and I'm not much a plugin or DAW user anyway) quickly revealed carbon-only GUIs. If you're willing to exclude quite a lot of plugins written by smaller, independent developers that have been around a while, I guess cocoa-only definiitely simplifies things. But you have to make that choice, and my guess is that users are not likely to be impressed.
