Thanks Joe,
I"ve played with libpd a bit (very generous of you guys to make some of your code available to the PD Everywhere project). I'm actually leaning toward adopting it as my audio engine. However, after years of using SuperCollider as my main audio toolkit, I'm a little wary of moving toward a graphical programming environment.

Hi Morgan,
We use libpd in all our iOS applications, I think someone is implementing it as an audio unit plug-in as well. PD allows you quickly prototype ideas and is suitable for a flexible, modular system. From experience I can say that it is very easy to get to grips with more complicated synthesis and audio programming once you've gotten over the initial learning bump - although I'm not sure whether it is the right tool for generating graphs.
Thanks,
Joe
