[OFF-TOPIC] Copyright question

  • Subject: [OFF-TOPIC] Copyright question

Hello,

this is an off-topic issue about copyright issues that I am sure some of you already wondered about.

I am making a coreaudio application with drum samples. Can I use samples from discontinued drum machines (Roland TR-808 &TR-909, Linn Drum, Korg Minipos, Mattel, etc) free of rights? Or do I first have to find an aggreement with the companies? Or is it tolerated ? Or risky ?

Thanks.

Pascal
