Hi Sean,
If a fresh install always works 100% then maybe it is possible to run
a pre-flight script to erase the previous plugin component and then
proceed as normal with the installation?
So, normal users upgrading from say 1.0.2 to 1.0.8 are not seeing this
issue? It is only affecting beta testers? You don't have 'Build Active
Architecture' turned on for the beta build do you? Sorry if I sound a
bit condescending but I got caught out by that myself recently :-)

The thing that is frustrating to me is that I doubt that this is
code-level support. The plugin has no issues when installed cleanly
(i.e. delete and install), and runs fine in all hosts tested (VST/AU/
AU64/RTAS). So the issue seems to be with some aspect of the
installation and/or file structure, but I have been unable to figure
out what it is.

You are aware that this is not an official communications channel,
correct? Apple engineers might spend some of their time on lists like
