SampleUSBAudioPlugin workaround?

Hello.

The SampleUSBAudioPlugin sample code seems to be deprecated on Moutain Lion and i'm also unable to load it on 10.7.4 ...

I would like if it exist a kind of workaround ... or an other sample code who provide the same thing (way to add audio effect on a USB audio device).
