And I don't think this is necessarily a case of minority / majority. But one thing I have seen when working with students is a large amount of confusion when they are working in one piece of sound software, then they start something that changes the system sample rate... then they go back to the other piece, and things are frozen, stuck, etc. Why should software change a system setting? Rather then a system setting controlling how a piece of software starts up?
