Hi! I ask to the Apple DTS yesterday. I wait for an answer.
But I think i'm on good way to find a solution.
It appears that Itunes plugin as SRS iWOW or DPS are both HAL Plugin which are instantiate by each application providing audio buffer to the HAL.
These plugins can access audio buffer from the application only if they are setted as output audio device in the application (I try this in app like Logic or Live and it works).
Maybe bypass from these plugins (iWOW and DPS) are a kind of "device changer" between the default output device and the plugin provinding effect.
This will be possible if it exist a command for changing the output of a running application.
Am I wrong?

First, thanks for your answers.
I didn't find any ITunes plugin SDK for audio in the developer resource, only things for vu-meter, graphics, etc ...
Maybe I have to search more.
Looks like you missed what I wrote in my previous email:
"There is an iTunes PlugIn SDK that has been made available to a few
developers but IIRC you will have to inquire at DTS in order to get it.
This is how SRS iWow works."
Looking for it won't help :-)
