You may want to not apply the first part of that patch if you intend to
browse /Network in the Finder at all.
Don't worry, I haven't. Not that I actually use the network services
locator, I tried disabling it on my real life network (~40 Tiger macs
sharing a subnet with ~1000 Windows,Linux,Solaris boxen) and all it did
was make life less confusing :-)
