I was wondering which API I need to use to make use of the I-R remote
control that comes with the compact Macs (iMacs, MacBooks, etc).
Given that KeyNote can quite happily make use of it, I would
imagine there is now a public API for this?

The general warning about using non-public APIs applies: Your app may break any time in the future.
