More and more people are buying and loving Macs. To make this

As elegant as it gets
But does it do Linux/*BSD? That would be truly elegant
The most exciting part about being able to boot into another OS for
me is the ability to use my Ubuntu install disk on a MacBook Pro and
use it as well as Mac OS X. Personally, I try to stay away from
Windows as much as I can.
This is a fantastic idea for bringing over the Average Joe and even
some enterprise folks. I just opened up three IBM (Lenovo) ThinkPad
T43 machines on Monday and installed Ubuntu before the pre-installed
Windows installation had the chance to see the light of day. I have
three more ThinkPads coming next week. Two of those will get Ubuntu
(or RHEL WS4 or Fedora Core) and only one will remain Windows (unless
I can convince the person to run anything else). If we had this
ability of dual-booting the MacBook Pro, we would have bought them
instead as with the special pricing we all get from Apple, it was
cheaper to get the Mac than the ThinkPad.
If there's a way to make this work, some hacker out there will hack
together a patch for it, but if Apple did it, corporate/government
types would be more willing to allow it.
First, you need to make sure your Intel-based Mac has the latest
version of Mac OS X and the latest firmware update. These provide
technologies that make Boot Camp possible. It’s also wise to print
out the Installation & Setup Guide.
The Boot Camp burns a CD with the drivers Windows needs to
recognize Mac-specific hardware. It is very important to do this
before starting the Windows installation.
This doesn't seem very "Apple-like" at all. Is this printing out of
directions because of Windows? If I were able to install Linux
(which I can do without instructions other than on-screen) would I
have to print them out as well?
