Right?

Don't know about your memory issue but reference your daughter's issue with files. I just got off the phone with Apple about an e- mail issue (BLUF: There's no way to download a file and save it anywhere else on the Iphone except keeping the e-mail with the attachment in a folder.) Tech Support reminded me that those files are not really on your Iphone. You're just viewing them from the server. So if you choose to delete the files from the server (one of the mail options) those documents are gone...forever if you haven't forwarded and saved them to a "real" computer somewhere.

Now since you CAN download photos to your phone it makes me wonder if you could rename...Never mind. :)

I know this was not intended to be an iPhone list but I also know
thereare many folks on this list with iPhones.

My daughter asked me if she gets the version with 16MB of memory will
she be able to load more large e-mail attachments (Poster files, Video
clips) and save them that customers send her for review. I have
reservations about how much detail she will be able to see on the
screenof the iPhone.

Question
How does iPhone allocate the memory use? Can whatever application
needsthe memory use all of it or is so memory pre allocated to each
application?

I ordered my 3G yesterday from AT&T because they said that is the only
way I can get the Federal discount on each months bill.

Thanks Again
