Title: Re: [Fed-Talk] Help getting started CAC on my new Mac
Hi folks:

So, I seem to be at a complete dead end.  I feign to think I am alone in my struggles out there, so once I get it figured out, I have to share it.

>From the top:

  • I am running a MBP with 10.5.5
  • I have an SCR 3310 V2.0, Firmware Version 1.03, System Profiler sees it but as a SCR35xx, I gave up on fwupdate after being told that the V2.0 doesn’t require updating
  • SystemCaCertificates and X509 Anchors show up in Keychain now after sharing in Mac OS X
  • I am running AdmitMac for CAC, but am told by Thursby that it’s useless unless it shows up in Keychain
  • My reader/card works flawlessly with my Windows XP box (I swapped it out mid-connection with an ActivCard Reader)
  • I have rebooted close to 100 times through each iterative step
  • Keychain does not recognize my reader or CAC, with or without my card inserted
  • When I insert my card in the XP box, the reader turns green and blinks,  in the Mac it turns green and nothing

I can’t say enough how much appreciate all the troubleshooting tips I’ve gotten.  Anyone else?

Brent
