Wow! Good point! I wonder if they will provide a choice to auto close
apps. With my limited experience with Android and WM, multitasking can
be over rated.

I don't post here too often but I was impelled to relate my
experience with my iPhone. I got a first had lesson on how multi-
tasking works with iPhone OS 3. I don't consider myself a very heavy
iPhone user. Mostly my exchange email, a little web browsing and a
few apps. This week, while at WWDC, I browsed to my web cam in
Safari on my iPhone to check on my residence. Then I went to the
home page and went about my business. Before this, my usage said 1GB
downloaded; which I thought was way high. A couple of days later I
checked my usage again. It now read 3.8 GBs downloaded. That is 2.8
GBs in just two days. So the lesson is: be careful of what web pages
you leave running in Safari in the background!

When the new pricing came out for the data plans, I went into my
AT&T account online and looked into how much data I actually use.
One month, in the past 3 years I used 403 mb.
That was the highest peak, i was mostly underneath 200 mb. I
consider myself to be a very heavy iPhone user, email, browsing,
etc. I was very surprised when I found out how much data I actually /
don't/ use. I thought I used far more.
I will probably get the 2 GB data plan, just to be safe, my wife
will only need the 200. We'll actually save money. I would probably
venture a guess that most of iPhone users are like me or my wife. In
fact I think I read somewhere that the AT&T CEO said that.
All these peopler bitching about "OMG they took away unlimited",
probably never knew how little they used their data plan.

For what I've read on the $29/mo for Sprint tethering and being
mandatory, it's not. They wish to charge for the hot spot ability.
They also recognize there are alternatives and they think their
solution is better. A market choice. Good for them.
That said, I've been with them for a few years and was waiting for
the EVO. The new pricing structure prompted me to email their CEO. I
then saw the EVO. It's HUGE! Way too big for my taste. The iPhone 4
and ATT's new limited data pricing structure will place me on the
pre-order list.
The fact that my monthly payment with two iPhones will be the same
as my Sprint bill now made my decision for me (and I'm a "heavy"
smart phone user).
