Title: [Fed-Talk] Bootcamp Win7 64 bit and MacBook Pro
I recently installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit on to my new MacBook Pro 15 inch with an i7 processor (i.e., since September). IIRC, I had to use the DVDs that came with it to get the drivers installed. The version information of the installed BootCamp Services is 3.1.2.
It sounds like you are using the retailed packaged version of 10.6, is that correct?
BTW, I have a 17 inch i7 MacBook Pro on its way and should be here in a couple of days. I’ll document my process.

Ok...
I need to say that it is becoming apparent apple is caring less and less about the Mac market..
Can anyone here help:
1) applecare cannot help and was useless which is why I am asking here.
I have a MacBook Pro with bootcamp running windows 7 64 bit... installed fine, tried to load bootcamp drivers from snow leopard CD... didnt work, said 32 bit is only supported.... hunted around and found bootcamp 3.1 64 bit on apple's site (even though it was not easy to find)... tried to launch, it says "installing nvidia drivers" and then closes.
Downloaded 3.2 bootcamp drivers, says it required 3.1... 3.1 wont install...
any ideas?
This is a MacBook Pro i7 processor machine.. almost $3000... and the support I am getting from apple is non-existant.
Any guidance appreciated... these kinds of things do NOT help the argument of getting apple in here.
