You read it wrong Bill...
The Verizon works with att. Not AT&T with Verizon.
Our market has Verizon LTE. Much faster than the smoke and mirrors of att 4g icon. I put an AT&T sim in my Verizon iPad and get AT&T "4g" which is nothing more than hspa+.
AT&T 4G LTE is LTE not the 4g AT&T says is 4g.
Tmobile has hspa+ and calls its 4g.
Verizon is at least 10x AT&T coverage with true LTE.
And I can hotspot my Verizon iPad. AT&T (as usual) is a crippled second place on features "working with the carriers to get hot spot ability ".
They want to charge the end customer. It's not working with at all (hot spot).
Here is my bold statement, I'll run this Verizon LTE iPad against any carrier on the planet for speed and price. And I'll win.
How the hell Ralph DeLVega (sp? CEO AT&T mobility) has a job after a 3 billion dollar loss on the Tmobile deal is beyond me).
My Verizon LTE iPad with hotspot kicks your AT&T (4g but nothing more than hspa+ ) with no hot spot ass everyday of the week. ;)

Most of the time Verizon 3G is 1/2 the speed, under 1Mb/s. I use a Verizon mifi hotspot and it is awesome at 4G but stinks on ice at 3G. I tether to my AT&T iPhone instead when no 4G is around.
