Correction:
AT&T 4G LTE is LTE not the 4g AT&T says is 4g.
Verizon 4G LTE is LTE not the 4g AT&T says is 4g.
Dang Siri. ;)

>> That article mentions using a Verizon unit on an AT&T iPad with 4G because of the frequency match at 700MHz which is all the Verizon's 4G service can handle. It stands to reason that an AT&T unit, which can handle both 700MHz and 1200MHz, would work on Verizon's 70MHz in kind. (?)

>> I travel a moderate amount. My commute is over 50 miles so I ride the train. In both cases I am on a 4G mifi constantly. A god-send.
>>
>> What I cannot take is Verizon's exceedingly poky 3G performance. Verizon 3G tops out at best 1.8Mb/sec as compared to AT&T's 3G which tops out at 2.8Mb/s (both real world usage). Most of the time Verizon 3G is 1/2 the speed, under 1Mb/s. I use a Verizon mifi hotspot and it is awesome at 4G but stinks on ice at 3G. I tether to my AT&T iPhone instead when no 4G is around.
>>
>> To top it off, using AT&T gives me access to all their wifi hotspot networks as well. Has been great with my AT&T iPhone and iPad. 1.
>>
>> Given this, I could not see getting a Verizon iPad. I bought an AT&T iPad and will get rid of my Verizon 4G hotspot when AT&T's 4G has better coverage. (it can be trained to tether ;-))
