- Thread-topic: Installer hangs on system optimization
Hi!
I have created an apple package (pkg) for my software and tried to install it. Software seems to have installed without any problems, but the installer application remained hanging. Here are some messages from the /var/log/install.log:
Jul 8 19:49:29 localhost installer: Running task: /usr/bin/update_prebinding
Jul 8 19:49:29 localhost installer: System Optimization failed. *** -[NSInstallerSecurity runTaskSecurely:withKey:onPort:]: selector not recognized.
What could be the cause of such a strange behavior and how do I bypass it?
I am using Mac OS X 10.3.9, but the problem seems to appear on 10.2 and, I believe, 10.4 as well.
Thanks,
