Hi,
I have two choices in my distribution package. The first one is the core application and the second one is a plug-in that goes into the /Library folder. The plug-in needs to know the installation path of the application pkg and write it out in a file at install time.
I could not find any guaranteed way of figuring out the location of the application in the plug-in installation (the order of the install of the plug-in and application is not consistent. It could happen that sometimes the plug-in gets installed before the application does).
I was wondering if there is a way to find out in the application install if the plug-in choice was selected in the UI. If so, I could write out the file in the application install itself.
If anyone has any other ideas, feel free to mail me.
Thanks,
Sakshi
