i'm implementing networking in my game with openplay and i have to say
that it's pretty easy to implement. it has a very small learning curve,
it's thread based, so you can do your stuff at the same time, and it is
supported on windows and in a not sodistant future, posix environments.
imho, think that if you want a simple and powerful networking game API,
you should go for openplay.
I've heard something called OpenPlay mentioned before and I'm
wondering if anyone has any opinions of
it. I noticed an OpenPlay mailing list, but the name of it seems to
suggest it's for the developers of OpenPlay. Any other comments about
other methods will also be of great use.
btw, the openplay IS for developers, you should join it :)
Hope this helped,
Ricardo Cabral
