Hi all,
I've got a small program that waits around quietly in the background for
a valid network connection, then tries to discover the current IP
address. It deliberately tries hard not to trigger a dial-out.
When PPP was set to auto-dial, and a program (say, IE) triggered a dial,
my program must have run part-way through the dialing process and, using
MoreNetworkSetup, obtained an IP of 0.221.221.221. I couldn't find any
references to this address on the net. I would hazard a guess that this
is a temporary 'I'm still setting up the TCP stack - it's coming' kind
of return. Would it be safe to assume that this is always the case for
this particular value, and if we see it, just wait a bit longer and try
again?
Thanks for any thoughts.
Regards,
Andrew Wright
