Performance. I'm usually not that concerned about performance, but
Network Setup locks up the machine tight for too many seconds. Its very
annoying. And with the death of OS/9 I assume that this major bug will
never be fixed. (Hmm, I wonder if a patch could be hacked together to get
rid of this problem...)

I wanted to avoid having to work around Network Setup's performance
problem. I will likely come up with a caching scheme that watches the
modification date of the TCP/IP preferences instead of watching Network Setup.
