You're right that the Network Setup performance problems won't be fixed. However, this also allows you to avoid using Network Setup entirely: it's not like we're going to suddenly ship a new version of Mac OS 9 that breaks your code (-:

If you flip the kUseNetworkSetup switch in "NetworkSetupHelpers.c", MoreNetworkSetup will use the TCP/IP Preferences file directly, which should solve your performance problems.
