Ah, that's good to know; thanks! I will probably just wait and make the app for Panther. I was using BSD sockets in the past, but now that CFStream has some documentation, it seems like a very elegant alternative. :)

Although in all likelihood, if you're working with a socket stream and got a POSIX domain error with a code between 1 and 4, that's probably actually an h_errno error - sockets are extremely unlikely to hit POSIX errors in that range....
