Explicitly touching the directory the recommendation, and for good
reason. For example, if you're updating a KEXT called "Foo", it's an
implementation detail of the installer as to whether it deletes and
recreates the directory /S/L/E/Foo.kext, or whether it just reuses
the existing directory.
