Yeah, I'm familiar with the external methods (passive mode grabbing
probe frames, etc.). For that I could use KisMac and Wireshark. I
just wasn't sure if there was anything even remotely close in the
API. I'm asking because a member of the University for which I work
was hoping to create an A-based network; forcing client cards to use
802.11a and having some sort of tool to verify. I was going to whip
up something quick for him. Oh well.
Not publicly available.
I don't want to pry, and if the question is not appropriate, it's OK
to disregard: Is the lack of these two functions due to security
concerns or Apple dev manpower?
