Awesome, thanks Darrin.
So I have a couple of other problems
that seem like they are 2.1.2 only crashers, or at least I can't
readily duplicate in 3.0. Wonder if I could have you check them out?
Not sure if there is anything you can do about them, but perhaps there is
something we can do to at least avoid crashing. We are seriously
considering requiring 3.0 because of these. They are also CPU only
problems so it seems, and happen with Broadcst Safe. Here is some steps
(again 2.1.2 only so far), but I can send a project if necessary.
1) Create a new NTSC DV project.
2) Select the Text tool and type some
text
3) Open the timline with the timing
button
4) Drag and drop Broadcast Safe onto the group
layer (not the text layer, filter must be at the same indention level as text,
but above it)
5) Select the text layer in the
timeline
6) Select the Text tool again, double click the
text in the canvas
7) Hit delete to remove the text and start typing
anything quickly.
RESULT: Crash with log. Log indicates a
crash in "Ozone, OZProPluginEffect::GetImageSoftware()" or something, which is
where several of our 2.1.2 only bugs that we can't solve seem to
crash.
Thanks,
Micah

differences
I figured out the problem. It turns out we were treating 16-bit
ints as 16-bit floats in one particular conversion method. I've fixed it, and
it should show up in a future point release.

Micah,
Thanks. I've
tried it here and am able to reproduce the problem, too. I've opened a bug
about it. This is definitely on our end.

Broadcast Safe is showing the
same problem. Something about this file and the CPU
path.
