users individually updating to iOS 7 (although that IS a separate concern
too). I am talking about setting up new devices through Configurator.
Somehow this got past engineers at Apple. You should not FORCE people to
upgrade new devices when setting up in Configurator, specially in an
education/enterprise environment where version control is critical.
And BTW, we do certainly hope that Configurator 2.0 will allow us to lock
down supervised devices completely as it should! Supervision right now is
a joke as users can basically pretty much do whatever they want, including
removal of profiles, etc. Configurator is in need of some SERIOUS love
from Apple. We have been told it's coming, so we are hoping for an early
XMAS present soon. ;-)
