There is no way to prevent a user from accessing the Settings app in iOS, however there is a supervision-required restriction to prevent the users ability to modify the wallpaper. Are you familiar with the restrictions payload in Apple Configurator?

I am using the older version of Configurator to manage over 300 iPads (iPad 2/30-pin). Students have been changing the desktop pictures on these machines, which then loses their Home Screen message that displays the iPad # and location (example: 5th Grade iPad #1).

I’ve figured out how to remove the camera so they can’t take photos on the iPads, but have not yet figured out how to remove the Settings section so they can’t change the Home and Lock Screen wallpaper.

Anyone have any ideas?
