That's interesting, because I have been using the 3.0.x-beta drivers
successfully (3.23.53) under OS X Server with WebObjects 5.2
But I think the comments about alpha are probably spot on.
I wanted to try the 4.1 (alpha) version because it has support for
subqueries, but of course the danger with alpha software is that it
often doesn't work. Perhaps I will just have to be patient and wait
until it is at least beta.
Thank you all for your help anyway.

Hi Maritin,
Just to reconfirm Anjo's suspicion about the driver's - I tried using
the new 3.x MySQL drivers with the last 3.xx version of MySQL and it
didn't work - I had to switch back to the 2.x JDBC drivers.
My 2 cents

I have just installed MySQL 4.1 on my machine and now EOModeler
cannot connect to my databases :
Error invalid authorization specfication: Access denied for user

user@localhost)
Have the changes to mysql tables broken EOModeler and is there a
fix?
Probably the JDBC-URL schema changed? Are you using the user/pwd
fields or are you appending them to the URL?
I have tried both methods with identical results.
I forgot to mention that I downloaded the latest jdbc driver
mysql-connector 3.1.0-alpha
which as far as I can see should support MySQL 4.1
Um, I may be wrong, but the 3.x drivers are not compatible with the
previous versions...and "alpha" doesn4t inspire any confidence in me.
Can't you use the 2.x drivers? Cheers, Anjo
