Hola Adios!

Well, thank you all again for your feedback. After looking at some of the
links and info that you all have forwarded, I have come to the following two
conclusions...

First, WebObjects DOES appear to be a rather powerful web development
platform -- probably the one I will proceed with.

=:o

Second, the documentation
that Apple provides sucks big time!

Here, you have a point!! The documentation provided from NeXT was to much better than the first attempts made by Apple... how ever, I have to accept that, in version 5.2 of WO, the docs are getting better.
Since the learning curve of WO it "deep", I think that Apple most made an effort to simplify the way for newbies; you can see that in this list, there are tons of newbies cuestions which most be answered by people (like Art ---thanks man!!!!!! ) insteed of being answered by a GOOD inline-documentation.

On the other hand, once you learn to navigate into the docs, almost every single detail is there... the problem is to find it.

As I had mentioned, I had gone through their little tutorials regarding Web
Services and Web Applications. Unfortunately, there is nothing anywhere
that gets into any real-life concepts beyond that of just tying a WOString
object to a method. Also, most of the docs simply have you follow along and
tell you what to do without ever explaining the concept behind the process.

Once again this is not exact! As I said, the in-box docs gives a good panorama of what is going on front-and-behind the scenes... can be better, but if you jumped out from the Overview to the WebApplications (or even better, JavaClient Desktop Applications), you will be on the track.

So, again, thanks for shedding more light on the subject. Now, I'm off to
the bookstore...

Keep going!
