As I had mentioned, I had gone through their little tutorials regarding Web
Services and Web Applications. Unfortunately, there is nothing anywhere
that gets into any real-life concepts beyond that of just tying a WOString
object to a method. Also, most of the docs simply have you follow along and
tell you what to do without ever explaining the concept behind the process.

Once again this is not exact! As I said, the in-box docs gives a good panorama of what is going on front-and-behind the scenes... can be better, but if you jumped out from the Overview to the WebApplications (or even better, JavaClient Desktop Applications), you will be on the track.

When we were learning WO the one thing that really made it clear was a demo by an Apple
presales engineer. There are things one does with the IDE that paper documentation does
not show very well.

So, if you can, get a more experienced WO developer to walk you through a toy application.
Alternatively, pony up for the WO training Apple provides. It's very good (esp. when done by
Malcolm Crawford (hi!)).
