If you are a beginner with WO and SQL databases, and you want good
performance, free database software, minimum hassle and no need to
compile anything from source code, I recommend MySQL and use InnoDB
tables as default. It is one of the databases "certified" by Apple for
use with WebObjects.

I'm new to WebObjects, well I haven't actually started yet, I'm just
deciding whether to use it for my next project. I've been looking at
the

highly
priced for my initial needs especially when you can use MySQL for free
BUT
I'm not overly keen on using MySQL so I wondered if anyone was using
or had
used 4D, they have a JDBC driver etc.. and are reasonably priced.
I'm looking to use it for a web application.
