Hi Phil.
Its not an Objective-C v. Java issue. I would actually prefer
Objective-C. Apple eliminated that option for me, so now I happily
write WO in Java.
The issue I have with GnuStepWeb (and similar prodcuts) is why
re-invent the wheel? Given the number of products out there that are
either blatant WO rips offs, or WO-like,
clearly the developers that have used WO have found it worth while. And
then for whatever reason, they have turned away and rolled their own. I
can only speculate as to what the reasons were for doing this; perhaps
they made the correct choice. BUT, how much better might things be if
that same effort had gone into IMPROVING WO?

My apologies if I have offended anyone working on GSWeb or any similar
product. I do hold what you are doing in the highest regard.

I apologize for the OT post to the list. Lately, I have been
pondering the wisdom of Apple open sourcing WebObjects.
What about GnustepWeb? I use it, it's in use for comercial sites and
it is constantyl evolving. The more developer would contribute, the
quicker it evolves.... But it's Objective-C, as the originial.
